8.6 Biodiversity
in AP Biology
Biodiversity can be considered at three main levels: Genetic diversity, Species diversity, Ecosystem diversity.
To Think About:
What type of ecosystems are less resilient to changes in the environment? How does diversity of species within an ecosystem influence the organization of the ecosystem? What contributes to maintaining the diversity of an ecosystem? How does the addition or removal of any component of an ecosystem affect its overall short-term and long-term structure?
